Hope you are enjoying the Uniswap V3 updates and small tweaks like the inflation %. I need to spend a couple of days creating a new central data point for block times. We're starting to do over 50,000 requests every day to infura (Ethereum API).
This new central data point for block times will allow us to approximate transaction times (as opposed to them being perfectly accurate). This central estimation will save a us a lot of API calls and allow us to continue adding more advanced analytics.
This is something I wanted to get to for a while but there wasn't much of a rush, but now we're very close to hitting our 100,000 requests limit so there is more urgency.
After that I'll be going back to Uniswap V3 analytics. Even though there aren't that many transactions yet due to high gas fees, we're preparing for the flood gates to open when ETH 2.0 sharding fixes the gas issues.🔥
Wanted to show you a sneak peek at the progress with the new Uniswap V3 data point. Currently even Uniswap Info does not feature this information so it's nice to be able to utilize the network to extract more details that are not public.
A few more tweaks, planning to get this up and running for you Tomorrow to play with.
After this update we'll jump to ledgers and make a few tweaks so the ledgers will properly Identify Uniswap V3 transactions. Super exciting week as things are finally coming together! 🔥
I've just completed our first multi-smart contract streaming into Datamine Network data point. This means we combine the Uniswap NFT Smart Contract together with the Uniswap Pool contract to get some advanced analytics.
**Why was this necessary? Can't you just take the analytics from Uniswap Pool Smart Contract? **
When you mint a Uniswap NFT all further transactions (such as transferring ownership) happen in a separate ERC 721 contract. This means if you just take data from Uniswap Pool Smart Contract you won't be able to accurately identify who currently owns NFT.
Tomorrow I will add this data point to the frontend and try to release it by Tuesday. For this initial version you'll be able to see:
How much FLUX & ETH is locked-in the Uniswap NFT
Who owns the NFT at the moment (this was the tricky part)
Tick range (This will be expanded in the future to show proper ETH/FLUX ranges based on Uniswap formulas)
Pool Ownership % (Based on minted liquidity tokens)
Pretty sure we're the first to offer such in-depth analytics for Uniswap V3 and we're just getting started!
