Datamine Optimizes Uniswap Data Syncing by 1000x

Hey guys,

The Graph update is a bit bigger than I expected and I'll have a list of all updates/changes and improvements very soon. Today I finished L1 syncing for Uniswap data and the results are as follows:

Old Uniswap Format Data size: 0.932GB

New Uniswap Format Data size: 0.001GB

As you can see it's almost 1000x smaller which ensures we can scale well into the future especially with cheaper gas on L1 and L2.

There are still 3 areas I want to tackle before release:

  • Hooking up the block times to be exact for each block (as opposed to guessing). I was waiting for the new Uniswap data format, but I've also made some optimization to graph data fetching that I want to implement in block times

  • Finish adding L2 Graph data to Arbitrum (both block times and Uniswap Data)

  • Ensure all USDC sources are using the new implementation (Frontend does a call for each user and stackgrewards is also using it)

I am guessing there is a couple days of implementation left, I'll keep you updated. 🔥

Datamine Integrates The Graph for Optimized Network Efficiency

Hey guys I just finished our first The Graph subgraph integration.

It's a replacement for how we're fetching block times from the Ethereum Network. The replacement is completely seamless at the moment but allows us to tackle Uniswap liquidity and prices next.

With both of those endpoints converted to The Graph implementation we expect to save 60-80% in network size savings. Meaning we don't have to store and go through as much Uniswap data to get the data shaped in the way we need it.

Currently the subgraph we use for Arbitrum L2 is still syncing so it gives me a bit more time to focus on Uniswap data (otherwise we would've had a release Today!).

Hoping to finish up The Graph integration next week which will mean all of the Uniswap / Block Times and SushiSwap come from The Graph. 🔥

Datamine Network Integrates The Graph for Scalable Queries

Hey guys I've been doing a bit of research into The Graph (GRT token). I've been thinking of switching to them to improve on our Uniswap integration.

We'll have to pay per query (which sounds expensive) but actually we'll save money in the long run. Right now we're indexing A LOT of data (The network recently reached over 5GB of data). Also querying Uniswap data is very slow and painful in the manner we're doing it.

The plan is to integrate into The Graph and utilize GraphQL to query against Uniswap data. This should save us A LOT of money in the long run and ensure the ecosystem scales without worrying about storage sizes.

Doing this will save us a lot of infura calls and ensure our stuff scales well into the future! It should be a pretty seamless integration, I will keep you updated as we get The Graph and Datamine Network connected together.

Don't forget once we connect our network to The Graph we can have access to cross-blockchain analytics against many projects they have https://thegraph.com/explorer/

I am kind of in the middle of the trend analytics but I think spending some time on this integration will give us data savings. It will also allow us to start thinking how Datamine Network can be integrated into other dApps through The Graph fluxBrain

New Dashboard Metric Tracks Active Datamine Validators

Hey guys, I've been working on a new metric to help identify dormant validator count. We currently have 690 validators but only 239 of them minted in the past 365 days.

What's also interesting is that 239/690 of the active minters control 78.9% of the locked-in DAM. Meaning 78.9% of all DAM is used for FLUX in the past year!

This is a very useful metric to understand how active the ecosystem is used for minting. After 2 years 78.9% of DAM is active and minting!

Planning to get this up on production out Tomorrow. 🔥

Datamine Validator Metrics Reveal Stable Ecosystem Inflation

Hey guys,

Wanted to share the final timeline for unminted validators. This timeline now includes another chart for active-only validators. Any validators that haven't minted > 365 days are considered to be inactive and will not be included.

This gives us an idea of how much potential DAM is locked-in and lost forever or the mint size is so small it's not profitable for them to mint.

As we can see over half of all DAM is currently not participating in minting. This means the unminted amount is significantly less than previously thought. There is only $15,000 of unminted FLUX for all active validators and the liquidity pool contains significantly more FLUX to counter this pressure.

We can also see that the unminted FLUX for active minters is not growing for the past year. This means the market is able to absorb the FLUX pressure from validators.

There is a couple more things to finish up for this timeline to handle cold starts and I aim to get this out in the next couple of days. 🔥

FLUX Metrics Confirm Decentralized Proof of Burn Success

Guys we have initial numbers from global unminted FLUX... 327,302 unminted FLUX across all validators.

With 218,204 FLUX in pool that means we can still expect high volatility from FLUX price. As we grow the liquidity pool and the unminted amount goes down to a reasonable % then FLUX finds price stability (as there is less volatility from unminted FLUX)!

This means we've already burned 6x that amount! Be sure to stay tuned this week as we chart this overtime... Results prove the ecosystem works as intended! 🔥

Datamine Network Infrastructure Updates and Uniswap Liquidity Milestone

Hey guys I put up the JUCY bots on the prod server so you should start seeing more consistent posts in:

Tomorrow we have to finish updating some docker containers to new Node version so there might be some downtime on analytics (Will let you know when the update will happen).

After that we'll update the Discord JUICY bots with a bit more consistent updates (sort of like how uniswap and mint/burn bots work).

Also not sure if you guys saw but our Uniswap FLUX/ETH pool is at an all-time high of 213,612 FLUX. At 16.49% of supply in pool after 2 years of minting this equates to 120 days of global minting production.

As you can see TIME is indeed MONEY 🔥

Datamine Network Aligns Terminology with Proof of Burn

Hey guys,

We'll be deploying a new update tomorrow to some terminology on the website. Mints will be changing to "validators" as we adjust our wording to focus more on "Proof of Burn" algorithm.

Validator terminology is a closer representation to the act of locking-in DAM tokens to mint FLUX tokens. For example Binance Smart Chain has 21 validators online while Datamine Network has 694 active validators.

You can read up more on Proof of Burn and Validators online which shares many similarities between Datamine Ecosystem. Be sure to check out the updates tomorrow! 🔥

The Power of Long-Term Broken Trend Analytics

Hey guys,

Wanted to show you a sneak peek into where trends are going. Here we can showcase the power of a 2 year broken trend. It's a powerful broken trend that keeps being tested years after it happened.

This takes into an uncharted territory of trend analytics that I feel like no one has really dug into yet. Unbroken support/resistance trends are powerful but broken trends will prove that long trends like that are constantly tested against which is very hard for forecasting algorithms.

We're pioneering something very special as trends existing in everything not just cryptocurrency markets. Crypto is really just the first step to showcase the power of our algorithm and broken trends will give us lots of new research to dig into. 🔥

Datamine Network Adds Broken Trend Volatility Filters

Hey guys,

I am working on a new functionality to filter by JUICY broken trends. This will give you ability to see some historic trends to see what happened after they broke. The idea behind this is to understand what happens when long trends break and prove that high volatility follows.

We'll be able to hook these into our bots as well and announce when juicy trends break (currently JUICY trends are trends that are about to be tested).

Some of these broken trends are >3 years old so it will be very interesting to dig deeper into each trend and understand. There is a couple more days of work on this left so expect some more updates soon 🔥
