Altcoins: When math is mathing but your marketing sucks ☠️
## Datamine Network Tokenomics: The Milestone of Declining Inflation
The Datamine Network has reached a significant milestone in its decentralized monetary ecosystem, marking over six years (approximately 2,000 days) of continuous development. The most notable achievement is the rapid decline of FLUX yearly supply inflation, which has officially dropped below 40% for the first time, down from 60% just one year ago. This mathematical progression signals that the currency portion of the tokenomics is successfully behaving as a reliable store of value, with reduced market pressure and growing stability.
Supporting this milestone is the Decentralized Consumer Price Index (DCPI), which measures the purchasing power of FLUX. This index has remained remarkably steady for an entire year. Despite having a modest decentralized liquidity pool of only 50,000, the system successfully maintains price stability and organic growth. Currently, the FLUX ecosystem supports 133 active validators, indicating a healthy level of decentralized participation where the majority of users hold less than 1% of the total minting power.
## Overcoming Marketing Challenges in DeFi
While the on-chain math performs as designed, traditional cryptocurrency marketing remains a major hurdle. The space is saturated with AI-generated spam, meme coins, and duplicate projects sharing similar names. This creates high cognitive load for potential users who struggle to locate the genuine, decentralized, ownerless system. To resolve this, Datamine is pivoting away from traditional social media hype and implementing a highly technical, organic SEO strategy.
### Phase 1: The Discord-to-Blog SEO Engine
The cornerstone of this new marketing strategy is the creation of a Discord-to-Blog SEO engine. Over the past six years, the Datamine community has accumulated a vast amount of valuable, highly active developer and community updates on Discord. Phase 1 of this initiative involves extracting and transforming this historical content into search-engine-optimized, public-facing blog posts. This strategy will allow search engines and AI web crawlers to index and learn from six years of authentic, real-time community progress, boosting organic traffic.
### Phase 2: AI-Generated Community Summaries
Phase 2 expands on this utility by leveraging artificial intelligence to summarize monthly conversations in channels like the general and marketing rooms. These summaries will automatically compile into searchable monthly newsletters, giving users a way to stay updated without wading through active chat logs. Additionally, this technology presents a "Burn-as-a-Service" model where other Web3 communities can utilize this tool. External teams would burn FLUX to obtain API key access to convert their Discord or Slack archives into SEO-optimized, searchable web portals, creating a new utility loop for the token.

You guys, uh, I'm going to make another video and uh, really thank everyone uh, for being here for 6 years and uh, you know, I feel like it's uh, ramblings of a crazy person at this point, right? Because uh, I just feel like all the numbers are working uh, for a cryptocurrency that we launched on Ethereum. Um, I think everyone that has been here for 6 years or has been following who's been like, "Yes, uh, I feel the pressure is uh, is much less uh, on the market." And um, and also you know, the numbers are also looking great as well. So, um, I really think the the most the most important part uh, of this is if you look on bottom left for yearly supply inflation, you can see you know, we we we we just went below 40% for Flux. And I actually I actually went and asked AI and I said, "Hey, how many currencies have above 40% inflation?" And uh, there's six in total. So, we're you know, we're already beating some and uh, the path is we're going to go even lower, right? So, we're going to go 25%, we're going to go 20% and even below 20% uh, you know, in in the in a few years. Uh, so it took us about 6 years to get to 40%, but at the same time, you know, it took only took us 1 year to go from 60 to 40. So, uh, really what this tells me is the the crypt the the currency is finally uh, the currency portion of the tokenomics is really finally starting to feel like a currency. Like, okay, it's not really losing as much value as it used to. Uh, we actually have a a metric for this. If you look here, um, you know, the decentralized consumer price index, it's basically how much um, how much you can buy with one Flux. It's been pretty pretty steady, I would say, for like, since, you know, for 1 year it's hasn't really moved. And you feel this like Yeah, you really really feel it. Um it's just it feels like no one was really selling it and the inflation just keeps going down. And what this tells me is basically the market has already, you know, it can handle this price. And uh mathematically, if you think about it, if we're minting Flux all the time and the price is not moving, what is happening? The the supply grows, but also the market cap cap grows exponentially, right? But if you can sustain it, then it will just keep growing and growing and growing. And um yeah, uh it it regardless of how much liquidity you have, right? The So right now, we can achieve this with just $50,000 of liquidity. It's nothing. You know, it's uh for a currency it does nothing. And uh you know, if you look at other things like uh liquidity, we can sustain liquidity even with like What is this? Like 270% inflation. And we've sustained $93,000 in liquidity, but also now we have like $98,000 market cap. So um there's just a lot of very interesting tokenomics, but uh I would say just not going too deep into it, that they're working as expected, which is great. Uh you know, and I and I just feel like that's phase one. Uh you know, that's done, but really I think the area that we're lacking is marketing. Well, [clears throat] marketing just sucks. I I just feel like we don't know how to sell it. Um we don't know how to sell the product because it's so complicated. And uh the problem is not even the tokenomics. People don't even know how to buy the token because if you search for Flux, you will get a million tokens called Flux. If you search for them, you'll get the same. Um and you know, it's only after the uh MetaMask and after Uniswap to uh like put us higher up or you know, so uh just because we have like uh more liquidity. And you know, this is the very complicated part for a lot of people to understand that we we don't have any central liquidity. Like you can't go to uh Binance or something and just buy them and um so it it's not really by design. Uh you know, it's just lack of uh lack of activity uh by like like lack of trading, I would say. But, you know, I don't I just feel like we we've had a few of those opportunities with central exchanges and uh they just didn't really pan out. Uh and they just feel like the stability on um decentralized exchanges has just played much better for us, you know. It was very painful for 6 years, but yeah, I think we're in a good spot now. So, marketing um is not great and uh you know, I've been thinking of I how we can improve it, right? And I think the biggest thing for us is we're doing a lot of marketing, right? We're we're doing the Twitters, we're doing the Mediums, and we're doing the YouTubes, and we're doing all the things, right? But, the thing is none of them are actually working. Um you know, it's like 60 YouTube subscribers. Nobody cares. Uh Twitter, like n- you know, the same people will retweet it. Uh very few people will like follow, right? And um it's just I don't blame them. I just think it's a mess out there, right? It's just so many tokens are doing the same thing. Everyone is like "Buy my token. It's the best token in the world." Uh you know, some furry animal and and then you have like a million of these things. And especially with AI, you can just generate them and um nothing stops people from, you know, just spamming you with crypto. And it's just confusing. So, as you can see, like no one has the mental time for tokenomics, and it doesn't matter what you build. But, my vision is you don't really need that many validators. So, you don't like we we we don't need a million people to understand token omics. We need like 20. And that will be like 20 is a good number because that means your decentralization is at 20, right? So, um the more people that participate, the the more decentralized the system is. So, like right now we have 133 for Flux. But in reality, if you look Flux, you know, if you look at percentages, so you have This is Oh, sorry. Um where is it? Um minted total. So, really the the distribution, um we can actually look at different and say There you go. So, this is your distribution, right? If you look, majority of people they have maybe half a percent, 0.27% of the minting power. So, not not that many be- believers. Um but you do see some people, uh you know, they they um they do participate. So, uh yeah, but it's it's just This is our level of decentralization at the point. I cannot do much about it. But what we could do, we could improve marketing in a way uh that's pretty creative. So, what we could do is we can go to Discord because we are very active on Discord. Uh and that's that's really our main communication channel. Everything else is just Hey, let's go post an update cuz we want to. Uh but Discord is really the place everyone hangs out and everyone talks there. And we have so much content. We have 6 years of content. So, I had this really cool idea. What we could do is we can utilize Data Mine Network, uh the back end that we've built, which is like this real-time, you know, thing. Um and what we could do is we could go through our Discord historic Discord content. And then in blog style make them available here. I Specifically what I mean is you can go through 6 years of of updates. So, there's a lot of content. And all this content will be search engine optimized. So, each one will be a page talks about the update. And um and then we'll see where we're taking from there. But at that's like phase one. So, we can take all the Discord content. There's a ton of it. Like uh there's announcements, videos, uh content creators, people who have made videos. Make this all available. Amazing. You know, it's like this community it everything just becomes like a real-time community, right? Right now if I go to the DMarket ecosystem, there is no sense of community. But all of a sudden we can get updates. We know exactly what we did. There is like content updates, dev updates. We display all of this for 6 years and make it SEO. Amazing. But do you see this like um uh see exactly what we're doing. And I would say like um we The idea is also in phase two is we can go for example to a specific channel like general channel. We could summarize it. You know, we can go to marketing channel. We can summarize 1 month of it, 1 month of conversations with AI and then post them as SEO updates. So, be like, "Hey, here's what other people are talking about. Oh, you don't have time to to go and read like what we did for a month. Here's a monthly, you know, newsletter update. This is what people are talking about. This is what the updates. This is what's happening." Cool. But you see the There is a market fit for something like this, right? There's a market fit for taking content from Discord and maybe something like Slack and then putting it as a website so people can browse your content without having Slack. And then you can also do the summaries of the people what people are talking about and post it. So, I think that's kind of like the future vision because I could see something like this could be um applicable to other communities. Now, I I don't know how we're going to I'll you know, if we're going to go down this path of allowing other communities. But there is a pretty good market fit for a project like that. So you know, I don't imagine paying them like flux. You you you burn flux and then you gain API key or something and then you know, you can hook it into your ecosystem. So there's definitely market for it. Like I could see it. I need it. That means other people will need it as well and you know, their Discord communities are insanely active and imagine if there's like a daily like summary, you know, you go there you can see everything without having Discord and yeah, just a content is is is pretty amazing, I think. And I think that's that's sort of the next direction. So we'll do this quick Discord place. You know, where you can see all the updates and um yeah, make it SEO and I think that's going to drive a lot more marketing organic con- organic traffic to the website. But also offer something unique for people, you know, they can go and see the updates without having Discord and um So cuz I I think there's a lot of uh organic traffic that would come to the data mine. Um but even more exponentially more if we have a lot of content, right? Because I I think SEO and AI nowadays um they're just they like they go hand in hand, right? Cuz a lot of content that AI sees. And then what we'll do is we'll we'll we'll like allow AI to train on our content as well. So can learn more about the ecosystem and I think maybe also it will like learn and with all the updates that we do have a much better vision of of what what we're doing as well. So Yeah, anyway, that's the the direction and I think we're happy with the numbers, especially inflation and hope everyone feels the same way. Thanks everyone.
